Wednesday Night – Awana

Our Awana club program is offered on Wednesday nights (6:40-8:15) for boys and girls aged three through the second grade and for boys in grades three through six. Aimed at evangelizing and discipling kids, Awana offers a time for active play and a quality curriculum focused on Bible memorization. The Cubbie group is for children one or two years prior to kindergarten (must be at least 3 by Sept 1). Sparks is for K-2nd graders and T & T for 3rd-6th grade boys.  For more information see our Awana flyer or visit

Awana Cubbies is full and not able to take any more children.  Contact the church office if you would like your 3-4 year old put on a waiting list.

Our nursery is capably staffed by adult leaders and teen helpers who cherish the chance to nurture our precious babies each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening (and during other special events).

Early Childhood Department

Our Early Childhood Department offers children ages 2-5 a great setting to learn how Jesus can be a part of their lives. While parents go to Sunday School and Sunday morning worship service, qualified teachers and helpers lead preschoolers through a curriculum that is both fun and educational with Bible stories, crafts, games and music.

Children’s Sunday School

Berean Bible Church provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for children with a staff and facilities dedicated to the teaching of the Word of God and God's love for each of us. Our children's Sunday School (9:30-10:30) is divided into three departments: grades one to two are in the Primary Department,  three to four in the Middler Department and five to six in the Junior Department. They meet together and enjoy singing, games, and crafts then break into small-groups for Bible lessons, which include a memory verse, lesson activity page, and take-home paper.

For more information about Sunday School and other ministries for children, see our children's flyer.

Church Hour for Children – Children’s Choir and Children’s Church

Children in grades one through six are dismissed midway through the Sunday morning worship service. They can choose to attend Children's Church or Children’s Choir. Learning activities and practical applications are included with each Bible lesson in Children’s Church. The “Joyful Noise” Children’s Choir rehearses and performs musical numbers for special programs and services.

Youth Basketball League

Berean's Saturday basketball league is a fun way for children in grades 3-12 to learn the game, have fun, and build character as well as skill. Coached and run by screened Christian volunteers, the league runs from late December or early January through March each year. Signups begin in November. Visit the Berean youth website for more information.
