Prophesies Come to Light: “Immanuel—God With Us”

Dec 14, 2025    Jon-Michael Clark

What if the whole story of the Bible could be summed up in one breathtaking truth—that God has always wanted to be with His people? This week, we'll look at a prophecy that was manifested 800 years later. We’ll trace that thread from an anxious king in Isaiah’s day to the quiet Bethlehem manger, all the way to the Spirit who lives inside every believer today. King Ahaz refused to trust God, yet God still promised a sign: Immanuel, “God with us.” That promise wasn’t just for a moment—it was for all generations.

We’ll follow the story of God’s presence—from walking with Adam and Eve, to dwelling in the tabernacle and temple, to taking on flesh in Jesus. And we’ll see how the promise becomes personal as the Holy Spirit now makes His home in us. This isn’t just theology—it’s an invitation. God is not distant. He is faithful when we’re fearful, near when we feel alone, and present in the everyday moments of our lives.
