We believe there is One God eternally existing in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each is inseparable, coequal, unlimited and unchanging in power, presence, and knowledge and worthy of the same worship and obedience.
We believe the Bible is verbally inspired by God and is without error and has authority for every aspect of faith and life.
We believe in the full humanity and full deity of Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross to provide forgiveness for sins, was bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return with power and glory.
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts. However, through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, God provides forgiveness of sin. This complete salvation is given as a free gift of God to those who place their trust in Christ.
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. We believe that the Holy Spirit places all believers into the Body of Christ at the moment of salvation by one spiritual baptism. Through this work of the Holy Spirit, we are identified with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. Our purpose as part of the Body of Christ is to glorify God by loving Him and loving others, sharing that good news with the world. By obedience to the Word of God and yielding to the Holy Spirit, we grow into maturity and are conformed to the image of Christ.
We believe in the physical resurrection of the dead. When a person dies, those who have put their faith in Christ pass directly into the presence of Christ in Heaven. Those who have not put their faith in Christ enter a state of conscious eternal suffering without any hope of salvation. Jesus Christ was resurrected bodily, and therefore everyone will have a bodily resurrection. We look forward to the day when God will eliminate sin and death and make a new heaven and new earth.
