In this epistle, Paul is expressing with great urgency the most essential component of the gospel. This is what the Reformers in the 15th Century called, "the principle of the whole doctrine of salvation". Jesus plus anything equals nothing. Which begs the question: Who really is in control of your life?
Today we look at perhaps the single most important reality of salvation; the humility of joining Christ on the cross. We are always looking for the solutions to life questions with 'what can I do' about it. Instead ask, “What am I supposed to be? “Crucified with Christ”.
