Tensions Within and Without

My wife and I are approaching our third anniversary, and I'm reminded of our walk-out song, “Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship, for romantic nostalgia. This would also be the theme song for Episode 4 of “The Acts of the Apostles, Tensions within and without.” Despite conflict inside and outside the Church, nothing's gonna stop the apostles from preaching the Gospel.

As I read the Acts of the Apostles, I feel convicted and come to grips with what would stop me. I find myself more concerned with what men think of me than with obeying God. I desire the bold courage of the apostles to preach the gospel. The Apostles feared God more than men, which empowered them by the Holy Spirit to accomplish God's mission. In this, bold courage begins with a healthy fear of God.

Join us as we pray for bold courage to obey God above all else and continue God's mission, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
