Finishing Strong

Nov 23, 2025    John Spooner

What would you want written on your tombstone; whether in marble or in the hearts of those who knew you? What two or three words would best describe you? This passage is Paul's final charge to young Timothy. Having 'no regrets', Paul uses both athletic and military terms to illustrate that the gospel goes beyond just being therapeutic but has eternity in view the whole time. We are to never stop fighting, never stop running and never stop believing. These are some of Paul's greatest declarations from his own 'life preaching', because one day we will all stand before Christ and give an account. And what will you hear? What do you want to hear?

Thank you for joining us in celebration of a life incredibly well lived and what will it take for us to hear; "Well done"..
